Before reporting scams related to alluring sales offers, you must look into the following factors to better understand the issue.
Identify the Seller and Reason:
Usually, the telemarketers communicate to you the name of the seller and what they are offering for sale. If you find this offer quite unexpected and at the same time, too alluring, without giving a second thought, say “No Thanks’ and disconnect the phone
What’s the Hurry About?
According to Big Scammers, a genuine and legitimate telemarketer will give you time and also written information about its offer, before it asks for a ‘Buying Commitment’ from you. But if you mark a tone of urgency or pressure, you must smell a rat and must resort to reporting scams.
If Free, Why Pay Money?
The scammers may offer you some goods or prizes, free of cost, but they may ask you to make an advance payment towards administrative fees or for other reasons, never make any payment.
Why Asking for Personal Information?
While making the sell offer, the scammers may ask for your personal information like back account or credit card number or even the pass word. It is a warning bell for reporting scams.
Mark the Time of Calling
As per law, the telemarketers can call between 8 AM and 9 PM. Any time, earlier or later to this duration must create suspicion. Better to avoid, attending to such calls
